KBTC, Seattle's local PBS station, received a Next Gen Public Media grant from the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop to help develop youth led content. While many station members received grant funding to produce media with youth, KBTC was the only station that explicitly endeavored to collaborate with neurodivergent youth. Good Point Creative was brought on as producer and worked closely with the Employment Transition Program (ETP) at Federal Way public schools every step of the way. From pre-production to animation, KBTC and Good Point came up with unique and creative solutions to highlight the unique voices and knowledge the ETP scholars had to offer. Special thanks to Steeb Russell whose illustrations helped bring these stories to life.
