Autistic Self Advocacy Network: Racial Disparities in Community Living

Updated: Oct 24

The Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) developed a written toolkit entitled "Crisis in our Communities: Racial Disparities in Community Living”. This 8 part, plain language toolkit for people with IDD explains how policy choices, now and in the past, keep disabled people of color from accessing community living. ASAN partnered with Good Point Creative to generate nine accessible videos from their toolkit to help illustrate and convey the barriers that stand between marginalized populations and healthy community living. Full playlist available HERE.

Other toolkit collaborations with ASAN include, A Self Advocates Guide to the ADA and Follow the Money: The Federal Budget and You
